The Brown Booby

The Brown Booby

The brown booby is a type of shore bird species that is native to the tropical region of Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and Indian Ocean. The first sighting of this species in Malaysia is recorded at Pulau Langkawi in Kedah, Pulau Jarak in Perak, and the lighthouse are at Pulau Pisang in Johor. Interestingly, there are no sighting of this species recorded in the east coast region of Malaysia.

Bowl of coconut shell , with fretwork of delicate floral designs. The base of the bowl is of coconut shell with carved scallop shaped pattern below a series of detached circles and is attached to the bottom of the bowl using four wooden nails (paku kayu) . This bowl cover  of coconut shell with fretwork of delicate floral motif. Provided with a handle, of leaf pattern, at the top centre of the cover.
