The catalogue was produced in conjunction with the Gemstones: Dazzling Beauties Exhibition held from August to September 2004. A total of 206 genuine and processed gemstones were displayed. As many as 37 jewellery items made of gemstones including the Selangor royal regalia were also exhibited. The information in the catalogue is accompanied with beautiful photographs. The explanation in the catalogue is in two languages: Malay and English.

This catalogue, produced to commemorate the 2003 Ghost Exploration Exhibition, presents contemporary and historical studies on culture and cultural practices in relation to ghosts. Muzium Negara (National Museum), known for being the respository of the nation's heritage has put together an exhibition on the handicrafts and cultural paraphernalia of the Orang Asli community in Malaysia. More than 400 collections of Orang Asli figurines and handicrafts are exhibited and documented in this catalogue. There have been many publications on the Orang asli and their arts and handicrafts, we believe this book will no doubt be most timely in the effort to document the crafts of this community which is slowly facing extinction. It would also be a priceless reference materials for the future generation.
