Matang Historical Complex

The Matang Historical Complex(formerly know as The Kota Ngah Ibrahim Historical Complex) is located At Gantang Hill, Matang (fromerly known as Permatang), Perak. It was built by Ngah Ibrahim, who carried the title Orang Kaya Menteri Paduka Tuan. He was the son of Cek Long Jaffar, the first Malay who opened tin mines in the Larut, Matang and Selama areas in 1840. Lenggong Archeological Museum

The Lenggong Archeological Museum is also known as the Kota Tampan Archaeological Museum. Lenggong is located on what used to be an oil palm estate covering 8.7 acres. The building settlement was selected according to site significance, which was a paleothic-era archaeological site that existed 31,000 years B.C. Besides exhibiting Kota Tampan excavational items and artifacts related to it, it also displays the reconstruction of the Kota Tampan excavational site.

Perak Museum

This museum is the oldest museum in Peninsular Malaysia. It is located in the town of Taiping, about 85 km from Ipoh, the capital of Perak. It is also near the Taiping Jail and about 3 km from town.
Most of the museum’s earlier collections are ethnological and anthropological items. Geological, botanical and enthamobological collections make up additonal specimens. To date, the total of accumulated collections is 8,474 , consisting of 5,074 cultural collections, 523 nature collections and 2,877 miscellaneous collections, including archaeological items.
