The main topic of the conference is Museums and Community.
We would hereby like to invite you to submit proposals for presentations, case studies, research papers and best practice models that demonstrate how museums face the challenges we are discussing this year. The focus is on museums and their multiple roles outside of the museum: connections and partnerships with their local communities, links with other organisations on a local, regional, national and international level. How does the museum face these challenges in an increasingly globalized world?
Key subjects include:
1.- Museums and Public:
2.- Museums and Government
3.- Museums and Educational Institutions
4.- Museums as Virtual Communities
5.- Museums and Management
6.- Museums and Museums
The conference will explore these themes further through a combination of international speakers and workshop sessions and visits to key cultural tourist sites in the beautiful area of Torreon and beyond. Please visit the conference website for more details about all aspects of the conference: www.intercom.museum
