In conjunction with the Eid ul-Fitr celebration, explore various types and shapes of kuih (Malay for various kinds of bite-sized cakes, biscuits, and snacks) moulds that were used to make traditional kuih such as kuih bahulu, kuih putu, and kuih loyang. Through this exhibition, visitors, especially the young generations, could appreciate the uniqueness of this traditional treasure.

Sempena sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri, kenali pelbagai jenis dan bentuk acuan kuih yang digunakan untuk membuat kuih-muih tradisi seperti kuih bahulu, kuih putu dan kuih loyang. Melalui pameran ini, para pengunjung khususnya generasi muda dapat menghargai khazanah tradisi yang cukup unik ini.

Prior to the existence of the modern healthcare system, midwives were highly respected figures in traditional communities for having the knowledge to cure diseases and being directly involved during prenatal care, labor, and confinement. Along with the passage of time, traditional midwives were upgraded with the introduction of nurses or trained midwives in clinics and hospitals nationwide.

Midwives Exhibition is a collaboration between The National Museum of Malaysia, Department of Museums Malaysia with the Nursing Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia in conjunction with the International Day of the Midwife on 5th of May 2023.
