Collection and Galleries
The gathering of collections and researches related to the Malay World is now aggressively pursued and these activities will continue until the Malay World Gallery (fomerly knows as Malay World Ethnological Museum) is fully completed. Collection gathering consists of several kinds, such as textiles, weapons, technological and metallic devices, self-enhancement, musical instruments etc. The finest and most difficult to obtain collections are gathered from countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia/Vietnam, South Africa, Madagascar as well as other parts of the world included in the Malay World. The unique and fascinating Polynesian collections are now stored at the Department of Museums Malaysia.
Visiting Hours
Office : 7.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m daily except public holidays.
Gallery : 9.00 a.m to 5.30 p.m daily.
Closed during Hari Raya Puasa and Hari Raya Haji
