Effective 1st November 2007, the Government has determined that all suppliers who registered with Ministry of Finance and doing procurement transactions with the Federal Government are required to be eP-enabled, if they have not yet become one. Pre-requisite conditions for supplier to be eP-enabled are to have smart card and smart card reader or USB Crypto Token. For those suppliers who already have smart card, they only need to buy the smart card reader or they will be given the option to change to USB Crypto Token when they later apply for renewal application.
