During the Second World War many vital records, and also much of the early currency, was either destroyed or just disappeared. Muzium Negara (National Museum), known for being the respository of the nation's heritage has put together an exhibition on the handicrafts and cultural paraphernalia of the Orang Asli community in Malaysia. More than 400 collections of Orang Asli figurines and handicrafts are exhibited and documented in this catalogue.
