Tobacco Box

A gold tobacco box belonging to the Terengganu royal family, is of an excellent workmanship of a malay craftsman. It is made in the shape of a ten-pointed star with multi-petalled motif designs. In the middle bears a flowing design and inlaid with a rubyred stone and bordering it is a red glass stones. Approximately a circa 18th century.

It has calligraphy motif of the holy verses of the Quran and verses praising God's Greatness. The shirt was also made from kiswah fabric covering the internal walls of Kaaba at Makkah in the past and was owned by Raja Nik Pek Raja Jamu, a royalty from the Malay Sultanate of Patani in 1805 CE.

A Bellamine (Rhenish Bartmann Krug) drink container recovered during underwater research and excavations carried out on yhe Nassau(Dutch East India company) shipwreack at Bambeek, Shoal in the Straits Of Melaka Off the coast of Negeri Sembilan in 1993.
