Buku ini menghimpunkan koleksi terpilih baju kurung milik Jabatan Muzium Malaysia bersempena dengan Pameran Baju Kurung: Busana Sepanjang Zaman yang diadakan di Muzium Tekstil Negara. Baju kurung merupakan pakaian tradisional masyarakat Melayu yang diiktiraf sebagai baju kebangsaan negara dan diangkat sebagai Objek Warisan Tidak Ketara dalam Senarai Seni Halus Warisan Kebangsaan 2015. Pemakaian baju kurung sangat sinonim dan digemari oleh masyarakat tempatan kerana potongannya mencerminkan nilai kesopanan, keanggunan dan kesederhanaan.

Buku Panduan Praktik Konservasi Kuratif ini diterbitkan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan kefahaman kepada pembaca pelbagai aspek berkaitan metodologi pemuliharaan artifak.
